Apt: Bank, London

Apt
Date of Visit: 24th October 2013
Ambience
Being a city bar, it was very quiet at lunchtime but that wasn’t necessarily a bad thing as we were offered to sit outside, inside by the door or further inside.  The comfy looking high booth type areas lured me inside.  The décor was quite modern looking and it has adequate seating for a bar but the venue is so small that I can imagine it being ram-packed at night

Food
My friend opted for veggie fajitas which came sizzling in a pan along with a number of small fajita wraps (think there were about 5).  I opted for beef, mushroom and ale pie with mash.. good old comfort food.  The crust on the pie was nice and crusty and the filling was satisfying but the mash looked like it had been microwaved.  A pot of gravy was served on the side which was plentiful but too runny – a little bit thicker and it would have been perfect.

Service
Let’s keep this short & sweet… the service was quick and friendly - nothing more to say really.

Summary
Though the food wasn’t excellent, it was satisfying and for a quick lunch, it wasn’t bad at all.  They also have a decent amount of choice on their lunch menu so there really is something to suit everybody.
